Creation, Breeding, Phenotyping, Distribution and Archiving of model organisms

Model validation

The quality control of the genetically engineered models is ensured by studying the expression of the target gene or its mutated forms. The consequences of the genetic modifications introduced are also evaluated in vivo to correlate the gene expression profile (target gene or other genes) with the clinically observed phenotype. Different techniques are used in Celphedia centers generating and/or exploring the mutated models to address these questions.
