Sanitary quarantine is a strongly recommended step in any animal importation from an external breeding facility. Celphedia nodes are equipped with:
Quarantine facilities for Non human primates
Quarantine facilities for rodents
The period of sanitary quarantine allows complete animal health screening in accordance with FELASA recommendations. According to the health screening results, the animals are transferrecd to their destination facility or undergo a rederivation when necessary.
Most Celphedia rodent nodes (Phenomin, Anexplo, AniRA) offer mouse and rat cryopreservation service for both embryos and sperm. They also offer recovery services of cryopreserved lines.
Decontamination: Starting from contaminated animals, this technique allows to obtain SOPF individuals (free from pathogens and certain opportunistic microorganisms (Anexplo, Phenomin).
Breeding facilities with different level of confinement for rodents (Anexplo, AniRA, Chronobiotron, Phenomin, TRIP).
Animals are maintained under strict conditions which meet high level health and welfare requirements to ensure the validity/reliability experimental procedures. Health monitoring is conducted routinely for an extensive list of infectious agents, in accordance with FELASA guidelines.
Production & accommodation capacities for wide range of non-human primates (MPRC, SILABE, SdP) (Rhesus macaques, Cynomolgus macaque, Squirrel monkey, Brown & black lemur, Tonkean macaque, Vervets, Marmoset, Brown capuchin, Monk capuchin, Baboon.
Production and accommodation capacities for non mammalian animals (Anexplo/Genotoul, TEFOR Fly facility, TEFOR TACGene, TEFOR Paris Saclay)
Microinjection units for generation of genetically engineered models.
Celphedia centers are equiped with dedicated areas and rooms for specialized functional exploration of a wide range of body functions and related disease.
Specialized centers are equipped with biosafety level-2 and -3 lab (BSL2 & BSL3) to work safely with class II / III Pathogens (Phenomin-Ciphe, AniRA).
Biobanking for wide range of Non-human Primate samples (SILABE, MPRC)
